Head Coach: Colleen Sheridan
Colleen, age 22, is a native of Oakpark, IL. She has always loved the water and
swimming. She resides in Marquette Heights with her grandmother while she is
attending ICC, as an undergrad nursing student. She has applied to both the OSF and
Rush Presbyterian Nursing Programs for the fall of 2009. She began swimming
competitively when she was in 5th grade and continued through the fall of her senior
year in high school when she injured her rotator cuff. Her events were the 500 meter
freestyle and 1 mile freestyle. After her injury, she started coaching. She has been
the JV coach for her high school and the park district club coach in Oak Park. She is
currently working at Five Points as a head guard and the swim lesson coordinator.

Assistant Coach: John Wright
John, age 21, began summer swimming when he was 7 in Calhoun, GA, and following
that season began winter swimming in Rome, GA. His family moved to Washington
when he was 9, and he began swimming for the Water Jets in 1996 and swam winters
at Eureka College until he was 13. He then swam two winters with CIA Swimming in
Peoria and then joined the Dunlap Dolphins winter team during his four years of high
school. John swam in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Breaststroke during high school and
the breaststroke leg of the 200 Medley Relay. In the fall of 2007 he volunteer coached
the Washington High School boys' swim team as they prepared for sectionals. John is
now studying Mechanical Engineering at Georgia Tech and enjoys swimming in the
1996 Olympic Pool on campus. John can be reached via e-mail at
